Bio

I was raised on a dairy and swine operation on the North Shore of Prince Edward Island. Agriculture and rural life inspired me and led me to pursue my studies working and living in this field. I attended the University of New Brunswick in my undergrad and was accepted into the first graduating class of veterinarians from the Atlantic Veterinary College at the University of Prince Edward Island.

I have always enjoyed staying active. As a young adult, I held a world ranking in racquetball and swimming. Currently, I am very involved in martial arts, and am at a 5th Dan level. I am also an international referee in karate, which allows me to travel and experience different languages and cultures, which I love!

Professionally, my work is in general practice, but my interests are large animal medicine and surgery with a unique interest in equine medicine for both pleasure and performance horses and equine dentistry. I also like to mentor current and future veterinary students. Service, for me, is my priority for my clients, and I try to lead by example. My goal is always to deliver veterinary care that is efficient, courteous, friendly and professional.
